Plan b and getting your period?

I took plan b emergency contraception last Monday, March 29th, after my boyfriend's condom broke early Sunday morning, so it was about 24 hours after this happened. Last Sunday, April 4th, I thought I began my period, which would have been about a week early, but I only bled for 2 days. The bleeding was pretty heavy, like the first couple days of a period, and then it stopped. Is this normal?

The bleeding that started on April 4th was caused by Plan B. It puts your cycle out of sync temporarily.

The double dose of hormones may have messed with your period a little bit, which caused the odd bleeding, especially since the bleeding happened within a week of your taking the Plan B. I am assuming that your period was also due withing roughly a week of the condom breaking, so take heart in the fact that you were quite likely beyond the point in your cycle where you could haves become pregnant.
