Does anyone know my prognosis? I'm a 31 year old female who was just diagnosed with aortic stenosis and?

bicuspid aortic valve. I've always knows I had a congenital heart murmur however now that I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my second daughter it was found that I had these other conditions after I had a period of trouble breathing and dizziness. I just spoke with my cardiologist today about this and was too much in shock to think of questions to ask her. After the baby is born and I'm done nursing (about November 2010) I've been told to go in for an MRI to check another part of my heart that is often a problem with people with these issues. My aortic stenosis is mild however I'm really scared to have been told that I have this heart disease. I'm also scared and worried for my two children. Does anyone know my prognosis? Will I lead a normal life or will I most likely encounter heart problems and need surgery. Just curious and nervous and it's too late to call my cardiologist today.

It is important to use your doctor to properly diagnose your condition as you progress in life. The ideal situation is to meet with a Certified Nutritional Therapist to help you with diet and lifestyle. Doctors treat symptoms and not root causes of disease. Making your heart healthy is to focus on health building, not taking drugs to solve a problem. All drugs damage the body and doctors are NOT trained in nutrition and how to build health, only to treat symptoms.

Focusing on building a healthy heart is very important and the CNT can work with your doctor to help monitor issues and create a good team to solve your problem. It is also important to breast feed your baby for 2 years to allow the inner lumen of the baby's intestine to fully develop. Many allergies and asthma come from not breast feeding long enough. The baby should not get solid food for 2 years to allow this to happen. NO VACCINATIONS should be given to the baby and this will assure the baby a wonderful immune system. It takes 5 years for the baby's immune system to fully develop. This is what nature intended and it works wonders.

There are many things you need to know in regard to your heart, but one of those very important things to realize is that your baby, especially in the 3rd trimester when it's head is doubling in size, needs lots of essential fatty acids. This deficiency is rampant in America today and women who are deficient, will sentence the baby to lots of ear infections and neurological developmental problems like ADD, ADHD, Autism, etc. Those Pre-Nasty vitamins are a waste and actually damage the DNA of you and the baby. NOT a good choice of nutrients. Listen to the CNT about what to do in regard to diet for the best health of the baby and you.

    good luck to you

Majority of aortic stenosis are due to calcification of this valve.Even in normal aortic valve will become calcify when reach age 70-80,but for bicuspid valve it will became in earlier age 40-50(even early). The severity of the problem is measure the gradient pressure between the LV and aortic, mild case will be around 20mmhg(140mmhg in LV and 120mmhg in aorta). The prognosis is depend on the severity of the stenosis and any CHF develop. In your mild case,it could progress very slowly and many years without symptoms and no need to have treatment.Since this illness can be treat by aortic valve replacement even in bad case, you should not worry too much. Now just follow your cardiologist instruction.
