How do I find which channel on the television for video playback on a Mustek dv326l?

Unfortunately, this is one of those things that the (skimpy) "quick guide" does not cover.

This is what I've tried so far:

1) turned on the camera (that's been known to help, I've heard);

2) put the camera on playback mode using the "mode" button;

3) connected the cable from the back of the camera to a tv; and,

4) scanned through the channels using the channel set > add/delete options, but none of them display the playback.

Update:

@ Mandy: If you mean the onscreen menu that appears when the menu button to the left of the power button near the bottom of the tv, I tried that and could not find the information you referred to.

    You need to go through the TV menus (or operating guide) and see which channel is designated for the AV port your using for the device.

    For example, my TV has External Inputs as:

    Video 1 CABLE

    Video 2 DVD PLR

    Video 3 CAMERA2

    etc, etc.
