We may have a friend of the family marry us.?

He is a licensed minister in PA and we're getting married (and live) in Baltimore, Maryland. Is that okay?

Check with the laws in your state, he should be able to as he is licensed but he may have to be registered with Maryland. Congratulations!

I think it's okay. But the only fork in the road is that he's a licensed minister in PA whereas you are getting married in Baltimore. Since he's a licensed minister, possibly it's fine. But since he's from out of state, I'd be a bit concerned. Ask the minister, your friend, if everything is okay.

Since he is a licensed minister, I'm sure he will be able to marry you. I would suggest to check with your local courthouse and make sure that he doesn't have to fill out any additional paperwork since he is form out of state. He may need to register and get a 1 day license to marry you from the courthouse. I would just ask when you go to get your license.

    Good luck!

  • Ask him about the different state things. He should know.
