Why is there no president of Earth?

Because each country is independent and doesn't want one person presiding over EVERYTHING, also think about it, it would be way too hard to control everyone

There are not presidents of continents. There are only presidents of countries. The whole world doesn't want a president.

That would be a very dangerous situation that could allow world power over the people and the threat of liberties lost. There would be corruption and no where on the planet to run to if it became a Big Fat tyranny form of Govt. What if the world president said, We will kill anyone who does not have blue eyes and blond hair. Remember Hitler?

The closest thing you will ever find is the President of the United States,also referred to as the Leader of The Free World.

There seems to be a limit to an area that a government can control. The larger the area and the more diverse the population the more difficult it is to instill ideas about "nation", "unity", "duty" and "patriotism". Small, homogenous nations seem to last longer that large, diverse ones.

are you being serious? there's no such thing as the president of earth because of so many countries in the world, and trying to consolidate everybody's needs based on just one persons ideals is just absurd.

Because, the whole world is too much to take care of.

well that's what we are headed towards if the same people who are in office now continue to be there. and there has never been because there's no need for it. the world would be a mess.
