Do we have a soul or are we a soul?

We are souls.

Genesis 2:7, 1 Corinthians 15:45, 1 Peter 3:20, Genesis 9:5, Joshua 11:11, Genesis 1:20, 21, Revelation 16:3, Ezekiel 18:4, Matthew 10:28, Acts 3:23, Psalm 146:4.

There are many more.

Just as God is a triune God of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are triune creatures of body, soul and spirit.

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

So are we souls or do we possess a soul? Yes. Insects don't have a soul. Animals likes dogs have somewhat of a soul since they can experience pain and have emotions, but only human beings have a body, soul and spirit.

We are a soul that has two sides. One being mortal and immortal. Our mortal bodies can interact with things in this physical realm while our immortal side can interact with things beyond the physical realm. Mortal souls are at stage 1 with a body, and Immortal souls are at stage 2 with a more vibrant bright light appeal.

We are a soul... but we're also a body. As human beings we are made up of body and soul in communion with one another.

We are spirits inside of a body. Your body houses your spirit/soul.

I believe we are vessels that contain a soul. I do not have scriptual references as I do not subscribe to any holy book.

We are Spirits having a physical experience. We create our soul, and it dies when the body dies.

While we are in this dream we perceive ourselves to be individuals. When we wake we are one. Like rays of light become a beam.

What the hell do scriptural examples have to do with anything?
