flu / influenza / head cold.?
I have had a bad cold or whatever it is for over a week now and it has kept me awake since i
got it. I manage to get about 2-3 hours sleep per day but the coughing wakes me up. I now go
to bed at around 4am so that the wife can get some sleep before i join her and start coughing
again and wake her up.She say`s she never hears me coughing but i know different. During one
early morning coughing fit i managed to make myself partially deaf in my right ear and now i am
getting worried.I can still hear from it but its a muffled sound.I could go to a doctor but as you know
there is no cure for the common cold or flu virus. Any ideas, Thanks.

Hi Get some Sudafed it will clear congestion, this recently happened to me i was deaf in one ear and anti biotic did not clear it. I even asked to have my ear syringed but there was nothing in my ear. So the nurse suggested Sudafed and it worked.

I'm smiling at the moment as this is obviously a wind up. However, in the off chance that I'm wrong ! you are making a very serious mistake by not visiting your doctor, Self Diagnosis is a dangerous avenue to chose. I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

for your ear get some debrox from the pharmacy.. and for the coughing..... try some delsym? ... it lasts 12 hours, but i dont know how much relief it will give you. Could it be post nasal drip causing your allergies? try taking some benedryl at night or claritin during the day to see if that helps at all
