Pregnant and Tylenol recall, what can i take now?
I think I am pregnant. I got a BFP today, very faint. Still a week before AF, so still a chance it might not stick. Anyway, I used up the last of my Tylenol supply. I sent my husband to get more, and he said Wal Mart had a recall notice on it, and there was none at the store of any brand. He brought home Aleve. I know better than to take that pregnant. But what else can I take for minor aches and pains of daily life? I don't get to see an OB for another 5 weeks or so. I'm trying to wean myself off pills, but do like tylenol. Any suggestions of how to get through this recall?
Im going to go check for myself, but he said they didnt have any generic tylenol or anything. we have a small town wal mart so they might have pulled everything just to be safe. when i go i'll talk to the pharmacy and see if they got any behind the counter. thanks!

Any form of generic Acetaminophen -
Walmarts brand is Equate
Tylenol is the brand name for Acetaminophen
Aleve is the brand name for Naproxen - its a category C drug meaning that no study has been conducted as to its safety during pregnancy - this one time won't hurt but try and get acetaminophen
The one you want to avoid is any form of Ibuprofen

Are there any Walgreens stores in your area? They also like Walmart have their own type of "Tylenol", just under the Walgreens brand. Otherwise any grocery store may have their own brand too, they all work the same. Look for anything with Acetomenophine.
