Please help me with my migraines?
I get either a headache or a migraine every day. I haven't kept track of what has brought them on, because at this point I am so tired of it. I also have a pressure point on my neck a little behind my ear, whenever I put pressure on it or something jerks it, it triggers a migraine or just hurts a lot.
What does this mean???!?!? Thank you

i'm 15 years old and i have been getting migraines for as long as i can remember. my mother gets them too, so i think that it is hereditary to be more prone to migraines. however, i have noticed that i have certain triggers, which may be triggers for you too.
triggers:
1. strong perfume
2. not eating for a while OR eating only sugary foods as snacks
3. not being well hydrated
4. not sleeping enough
5. wearing my hair in a really tight ponytail
6. i have a large cup of highly-caffeinated tea every day, and a trigger is missing that cup of tea (it's a venti starbucks)
7. being in a way too-hot room for an extended period of time (that may have to do with dehydration)
8. when i get my period
9. STRESS
some advice my mother has given me from her experience with the migraines and some that i have figured out myself:
1. it helps to sniff something minty, like a minty oil rub my mother has
2. along the same lines as #1, rubbing IcyHot on my neck
3. neck massage
4. take off my glasses
5. let down my hair
6. take a hot shower and let the stream of water land on my neck
7. place a hot towel on my eyes
8. sleep
9. soothing, quiet music or white noise
10. of course, remove yourself from the triggers
good luck!

I have suffered from migraines given that I was once 10 years historic-I am now 50 so I have had forty years enjoy. I do understand a little approximately them. First, you'll be able to have a migraine at any time. There is not any set sample-I have long gone months or even years with no need a unmarried migraine. There are many migraine triggers. Hormones play a giant aspect. That is why ladies undergo from migraines three occasions greater than guys. A week earlier than your interval is the worst time. I discovered that start manipulate drugs helped me. Also, sinus issues and allergy symptoms as good as scorching climate can cause migraines. Certain meals will also be a cause-chocolate and sugar are the quantity one million offenders. Cheese too can do it. Watch your strain degree too. Ask your Doctor approximately the triptan medications equivalent to imitrex and maxalt. These are very potent-they're high priced although. I have discovered that two consistent excedrin works lovely well almost always-the trick is to take treatment earlier than your headache will get to unhealthy. Good success.

I'm not a doctor but I've had these migraines you've been talking about as well. I was told that they are caused from stress. If they can be triggered just by touching a pressure point, you may have some nerve problems.
Before completely freaking out though, I would try these steps before going to your doctor.
1. Drink more water. You may have tried this already, but most headaches happen because people are dehydrated.
2. Drink less/ eat less caffeine. Sometimes this causes an allergic reaction (in some people) Caffeine also dehydrates you.
3. Try and de-stress. You may have a lot of things going on in life that you're not aware about. I would try expressing yourself somehow. Finger painting is very soothing. You may also want to try meditation, writing, or just more positive thinking.
4. Weight- your weight has a lot to do with how you feel.
The pressure point you talk about isn't supposed to be poked at...as you said. It's a pressure point. Obviously though, if you feel like you need to go to the doctor right away, then you should. Only you can make the right judgement for your situation.

go to the doctors and have them do cat scans, they might find something and give you a heavy drug(s).
if your state allows it ask for medicinal pot.
