Why do I gain weight when i eat a lot of veggies ?

I used to weigh about 130 then as I got older I gained weight which i expected to happen . But I I had always ate a lot of fast foods and pies and spaghetti and such . I changed my diet to what I thought would be healthier . A lot of broccoli cauliflower spinach etc. Now I weigh 200. I eat plenty of apples and oranges , fish occasionally rice and other meat. also plenty of mixed nuts.

why do i gain weight ? Should I be adding in some fatty foods ? I usually use olive oil and do not fry anything.

    thats great that youve change your diet, you should be very proud of yourself. My advise to you is that u should completely avoid anything fattening like desserts or sweets. but yeah you should have some fat in your daily diet. i myself has gained a couple pounds and i found out that it was my portion sizes that made me gain the weight, i just easily cut down the sizes by a little more than half of what i ate before and in one month i lost 13 pounds..you should try it!

    its not what you eat its when you eat and what you do after you eat. You can eat as healthy as possible but without regular exercise ur going to put on a few pounds. and do not go to sleep after you because your body stores the fat more easily because u r not active.

    because u tell every one i eat lots and lots and lots and lots of vegtables and when ur at home u go to ur buffet at home!!!
