If the atheist had a home on the board, what would happen?

Since R & S is what they don't believe in, why not have a section for Atheism? That way they could discuss Atheism in their own section and have a place of their own. Is this a good idea? What would happen to R & S and their new area as well? Would it improve the Q & A board?

Update:

Change the word "for" Atheism to "about" Atheism. Sorry, "for" was a poor choice of words.

Update 2:

The question I submitted was actually a test, and partially a survey to sample the board. You all did an excellent job! Thank you! It was quite a success. I am sure some might know what I did, and found out.

We do have a home on the board. It's called R&S.

It would be nothing. There is nothing to discuss about atheism without it being in the context of a religion. It would be like having a board for people that don't believe in Unicorns. They would not go talk to each other about not believing in Unicorns. It would be pointless. People that don't believe in Unicorns would only go on a board where there were people saying that Unicorns are the only Truth in the Universe.

Essentially, without people professing weird and stupid beliefs in various religions, atheism ceases to be, at least in any practical way, in the same way that if there are not people saying they believe in Unicorns, you will never hear anyone talking about not believing in Unicorns.

Are you talking about a Conservative Atheist, a Reformed Atheist, a Later Day Atheist, a Proselytizing Atheist, an Organic Science Atheist, or another branch of Atheism ?

That way they could discuss Atheism in their own section

There's nothing to discuss that doesn't involve another religion in the first place, so it simply wouldn't make sense and we'd all still just come here.

The ONLY thing that makes an Atheist is disbelief in gods which means R&S is the only place for us, otherwise they'd have to make sections like "People who don't like Consumer Electronics."

Besides I like to see how mental you theists are.

Really now. Would this place be as amusing if there weren't so many people who disagreed on so many things arguing till the wee hours of the morning? Without us, you'd have to argue with people who shared an unnerving amount of beliefs with you.

I find the quality of R&S greatly enhanced by the presence of educated and compassionate people. If the non-Yahwists left there'd be only hateful ignoramuses remaining.

    It's a non-belief; what's there to talk about?

It's much more fun to annoy the theists in this forum.

I do believe that they should have a place to spout the intelligence of their mind set. Amen...

"Since R & S is what they don't believe in"

    You are wrong...

I will repeat it for you s-i-l-o-w-l-y...

Theists believe in invisible sky critters.

Atheists do NOT believe in invisible sky critters.

    That is all.

Atheism is NOT a religion but it IS a religious position.

I am an atheist cos there aren't any invisible sky critters.
