How can non-native speakers speak Spanish extremely fast like some native speakers?
I am a native English speaker fluent in Spanish but I cannot speak extremely quickly like some speakers can. I can speak fairly fast, but not as fast as 10 words in 2 seconds, etc. I seem to get my tongue tangled if I try to do that. How do native Spanish speakers get to speak so fast?

I don't want to disapoint you, but I know people who are living for more than 30 years in my country (Chile), and they of course speak really good, but they cannot speak really fast.
I think it's quite difficult, but it's not necessary to speak that fast, if you are fluent and make no mistakes it will better as if you speak fast and not really good. Focus on your pronunciation and try not to make mistakes. Most of the foreigns have problems with "subjuntivo" (Even some native speakers have problems with this), so try to do your best here.
Suerte!

I am a native English speaker who speaks fluent French and nearly-fluent Spanish. I agree with the previous response, practice is the most important thing. When I first started trying to speak fast, I woud either speak with horrible grammar or get tongue tied (or both). But the more I spoke it, the better I got at it; whenever something would irritate me, I would mumble in Spanish really fast, and before I knew it, I could speak it really fast.
When speaking with natives, I never speak fast, because I am concerned my American accent will be hard to understand if I am speaking too fast, but I can speak it really fast when I want to, and that came from practicing it.

I don't know I just speak spanish quickly because I'm used to it. It's like english native speakers, they speak quick too, but as I said it's because they were raised with that language. I speak english, but sometimes I stutter, and I don't think I can speak that quick in english because then I would say something wrong. You just need to practice and practice, that's the only way to do it.

Some hispanics sound cool and funny when they speak Spanish, I love how Mexican and Argentinian Spanish sound, specially when women speak it, even if they're angry. Latin American dialects have many words borrowed from native american languages, which makes them even more nice. On the other hand, Spanish from Spain sounds a bit harsh to my ears, the pronunciation is very different from that of Latin American dialects.

We have a lot of practice, so we can talk so fast. When you know well Spanish, you will be very easy to say 10 words in 2 seconds, and you can say more words in these time.
Remember: you just need practice.

Nosotros tenemos mucha práctica, por eso nosotros podemos hablar tan rápido. Cuando conoces bien el español te será muy fácil decir 10 palabras en 2 segundos, y tu puedes decir más palabras en ese tiempo.
Recuerda: solo necesitas práctica.
I hope it is helpful.

If you are far more interested in understanding to speak Spanish than go through or compose it (they do educate studying and writing but speaking is far more heavily emphasized)
