There are 36 people at a gathering of two families. There are 25 people with the name Tan and 11 people with the name Ong. Of the 25 people named Tan, 4 are single men, 5 are single women and there are 8 married couples. Of the 11 people named Ong, 2 are single men, 3 are single women, and there are 3 married couples. Two people are chosen at random from the gathering.
(a) Find the probability that they are married to each other.
(b) Find the probability that they both have the name Tan, given that they are married to each other.

a) p = number of choices that can be made (finding two married) / total possible outcomes
= 11/36C2
b) you are told that they are married but u need to calculate the probability that the couple is from the Tan's so its 8/11
although i'm not 100% sure
