Why do some Muslims associate "Quran only Muslims" with not obeying the Prophet Muhammad?
Please explain.

Those Muslims who think that turning to only the Holy Quran for religious instruction and guidance is not obeying Prophet Mohamed are those who believe that the hadith is the word of the prophet. That's a disagreement some Muslims have, as many seem to feel this way about the hadith while others see that some hadiths contradicts itself and the Quran and doesn't see it as the way of following the prophet, and so turn only the Quran.
I myself disown every sect. I'm simply a submitter to God. However, I also don't follow the hadith. Anyone who has read much of the Quran has read various verses that state that the Quran is the protected word of God, that it's the only Hadith Muslims need, and that the prophet followed only the Quran.
The Quran does not state that following the prophet is the same thing as following the hadith. Anyone who might claim otherwise - please show me one verse that does. That's a claim not supported by the Quran. The Quran says that it is clear so if the hadith was the way of following the prophet, then wouldn't it have been named in the Quran? Surely God is Able to do all things. Do people doubt that God's words when they read a Quranic verse that states that the Quran explains things clearly? It also says that nothing is left out of it. So why do they still turn to other books for religious guidance? It's not so much about authenticity of the hadith but about the authority, God has authority over all so the Quran - in which He speaks for Himself, not like in the hadith - should have authority over the hadith but many seem to primarily follow the hadith.
Clear evidence from the Noble Quran:
"Should I seek a judge other than God, when it is He who has revealed the Book, clearly explained. Those to whom We gave the Book earlier know that it is the truth revealed by your Lord. Therefore, have no doubts." 6:114
"Follow what has been sent down to you by your Lord and do not follow any protector other than Him. How seldom you take heed." 7:3
"God has sent down the best Hadith: a Scripture that is consimiliar and oft-repeated: that causes the skins of those in awe of their Lord to creep. Then their skins and their hearts soften at the mention of God: such is God's guidance. He bestows it upon whoever He will; but no one can guide those whom God leave to stray." 39:23
The Quran was sent to the prophet and he followed it and recited it to others.
"Say, 'I am commanded to serve the Lord of this town, which He has made inviolable and to whom everything belong; I am commanded to be one of hose devoted to Him; to recite the Quran.' Whoever follow its guidance, follow it only for the good of his own soul; and as for him who goes astray, just say, 'I am only a warner.' Then say, 'Praise be to God! He will show you His signs and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do." 27:93
Explaining the Quran is for God only, not the prophet:
"[Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear." 75: 16-19
There are so many other verses in the Quran that show that the Quran is all we need besides the ones I've quoted. Which Muslim would refute these verses?

I just have quoted the literature, articles and websites from your own sources (Quran Only), this is how you guys explain yourself at your best, NOT we.
Moreover, once you have made up your mind then why asking questions. Read shah's profile which clearly conveys the message. You have been introduced to wrong religion which is not Islam. In islam there is NO sect. I disown every sect. I am just a Muslim, but NOT Quran Only. There is NO such thing as "Quran Only Muslim" in the Quran. Prove me and gimme a verse that commands to create a group named "Quran Only" and wear the same label, i shall immediately convert and call myself "Quranist Or Quran Only". But, Alas, there is NO verse. Moreover there is NO verse that commands to create a group or wear a label even to distinguish yourself. Shah wears so many labels, does Quran sanctions those??? NO. !!
If you are honest then you MUST appreciate the Quranic Truth. NOT heresy & conjectures which has NO roots in QUran. :)
God bless you :)
