Be honest, how well do you behave on the internet?

I'm 50. I've also noticed how people that's 30 -35 and older are the ones that misbehave the most often, but no one believes me when I say it. It has to be kids they tell me because adults wouldn't act that way. They are clearly delusional. The people that behaved the worst were in an all adult heavily moderated forum and they make even the worst Y!A people seem civilized. Menopausal *itches and guys going through their midlife crisis are often horrible people online.

I'm usually well behaved but about 0.01% of the time I lose my temper and go berserk. Doesn't sound much but I've been using the Internet since the 90's and I'm online at least 8 hours a day. I was a total jerk on here the other day and I got my first violation notes. I opened them thinking that I deserved it and I finally got my "diploma", I was disappointed to find that it was wrongful reports that had nothing to do with me being a jerk. I can't even get it right when I'm trying my best.

Depends on the age of the other person. I'm in my 30's.

If a teen needs advice, I have plenty of life experience and warnings to share with them.

If they are in their 20's then they can relate to me and I can offer my opinion if asked.

If they are in their 30's or older, we can talk like old friends.

Of course I am capable of acting very mature or very immature when I feel like it, so my maturity level can range from age 15-50.

I get away with whatever I think I can, but am never rude, insulting, racist or bigoted.

I just like to get away with stuff. Sometimes it does not work out so well.

for example...

One time a question was asked, "How do I stop my dog from humping my leg?" My answer---"Pick him up and suck his (dogly part). I lost my Level 6 account for that one...even though the asker had given me a "best answer".

Just last week someone, one of my contacts, (Carlin) asked, "What are the seven words you cannot say on R&S"? I answered, "Poop, urine, cooter, coitus, fellatio-doer, Oedipus-doer, and mammary glands." I got another "best answer" but the question was deleted a couple of days later.

I just like getting away with stuff. Beat the system, oppositional-defiance disorder, ya know...

I am 47

I'm 58 and I swear I can tell when the question is posed by a 15 year old. I'm as polite as I am in person but when you get into subjects like politics and religion, you can kiss civility goodbye. I avoid them like the plague.

I am 54 and I try to behave as cool I can.

The same as in normal life, I'm cranky.
