No, they shouldn't have that right, we have the right according to the constitution and the bill of rights to lead our own lives. I don't understand where they think it should have anything to do with the government. If they pass it, I don't know what I am going to do...I've depended on natural methods to maintain my health. Don't like the side effects of most conventional medicine. Time to contact our congressmen!

First...assuming you are American, where exactly does it say that in the new watered down health care bill? This sounds like Tea Bagger paranoia coupled with AltMed conspiracy theory.

Second...the government has the duty to assure that anything that is sold for human consumption, especially if health claims are made...is safe and efficacious. Most supplements are sold under less stringent food product regulations, though they are clearly marketed as health products...a nice loophole exploited by snake-oiul salesmen.
