What is the best weed killer to get rid of poison ivy?
I sprayed several plants on my mother's acreage last Sunday with Round-Up Poison Ivy killer. It was a cloudy day, but it didn't rain for 3 days afterward. As of today, the plants are still looking as healthy as ever. What weed killer really kills poison ivy effectively?

Any weedkiller that has the chemical GLYPHOSATE in it. Glyphosate kills the plant and the root. If you read the back of the weedkiller bottles, look for glyphosate, if it does not have glyphosate in it, it wont work. Happy gadening

Ortho makes a product called (Triox) which is a vegetation killer. It lasts for about a year. I would use (Weed be Gone) concentrate mixed double strength in a spray bottle. I use this on all of my weed problems.

Ortho Brush B Gone is pretty effective on poison ivy. Bear in mind you might need to hit it more than once.. PI is tough stuff! Good Luck!

don't follow the directions...... use the Roundup neat, with a paint brush. It will take about 14 days for the plant to start dying and follow up treatments will probably be needed.
