Do you like the New Perspective of Paul? Why or Why not?

Please only answer if you understand the question. I am a new perspective person but would appreciate hearing both sides. This is a dialogue, not my way of proving I am right. Thanks!

Update:

I appreciate your comments but please explain if you have an opinion. I wish to learn through this. If you say Old Perspective, explain why. I am actually asking a question without bias on yahoo answers!!

It makes sense to try to understand any piece of writing in the context in which it was written. The problem was that Biblical study was restricted to a select few for too many centuries (because people couldn't read and Bibles weren't available in English, for example). By that time, people had lost touch with the context in which they were written. Not to mention the Old Testament.

yes when he wasl killing christian he was lost but he thought he was doing the right thing but when Jesus met him on the road to damascus and told him he was going against him and Jesus blinded him for quite a while then he was born again of the spirit, and God chose paul (which he was a jew) to take the grace message to the gentile that is in the last chapter of acts read it. and that is where the grace message is today.

I don't think you are talking about what a traitor Paul was. The Essene community kicked him out, epic fail, and labeled him The Liar.

I don't know what the new perspective of Paul is, but I know I'm not terribly fond of Paul.
