Why do so many call the Messiah Jesus?

When his real name was Yeshua Ben Yosef? If your name was George would you like people to call you Jorge? I understand it is supposed to be the greek translation but HE nor I AM greek so why the greek translation and not His real name?

Update:

I AM aware of the answer. I just thought I would see how many have been shown the truth.

Really? Are you really asking a question like this? Let's start with Bible knowledge 101. The New Testament is written in Greek! But why? Because everyone in that day spoke Greek as a result of Alexander the Great conquering that region. Rather than have all the people speak Latin when the Romans took over, they had the sense to leave it Greek so everyone could communicate. This made writing of the Bible that much easier because everyone understood it. My name is Adam. It is pronounced somewhat different in other languages. Do I care if a Spanish or French speaking person speaks my name with their own inflection? No because it's the same name. I think God celebrates the different cultures, not assimilates them. That's obvious when Paul writes that the Gentiles don't need to be circumcised. Hopefully your understanding of the Bible will grow with my comment.

Yah as you realize is the name of God, also YHWH and many translated names.

In the old testament we have many names some are written in engish differnatly.

For example the Lord was There, The Lord our Salvation, Yahshua is my Rock.

Gallilee and Nazareth were his names,

Very rarely do people get names Jesus in English culture, Mostly in Spanish cultuire,

The House of Joseph was an old testament tribe of Israel. Joseph was the father of many sons a the bible says. As a son of Jacob as well.

The town name was so there was no confusion of Jesus/Yeshua.

In all my years I never knew the surname of our Messiah. Christ, our Hebrew redeemor.

Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic are some of the main translate texts. The Greek culture aside from Rome, as being a large empire too. Yet the Greek culture was preserve d for a long time . Much was lost in Jerusalem and surrounding areas. Some bible texts were written in Hebrew Greek and so forth. Not yet being compiled in New testament as we have today. Only the old testament scrolls, copper, leather, stone and other papers like even papyrus contained old testament texts, translatives.

The computer in fact will translate to common translations.

Remember that the church followers. eclessia left Israel in old times and moved on as their witness was to others and knew of destructive forces.

So when literature, scrolls, tablets were lost, knew ones made, even in other languages.

The Greeks were formerly awash with all sorts of strange gods like most other cultures, even Jews in Israel.

Jesus Christ/ Messiah Yahshua was more concerned with obedience to God, witnessing, teaching the proper things rather than the pride of life and matetrs men and women of high worldly esteem may be.

So Spanish bibles have varying versions just like KJV, NKJV and hosts of others,

Variuous talmuds differ than regular bibles. Yet they can all effectively lead those called tp Messiah Yahshua in mortal life. There are so many Spanish Jews too. Less than ther ewere at other points in history.

Jesus/Yahshua may have had many other names as well, titles even beyond the bible .

Nicknames, insult names and so forth. The text does not say so.

Yeshu was not Ben Yosef as Yosef was not the father xtians claim their god was the father. which disqualifies the mamzer from being Moshiach. Neither Yeshu nor jesus fulfilled any of the prophecies regarding Moshiach. The Messianic age has not come and Tanakh does not say that a fake messiah is to come not qualify as Messiah, fail to bring about a Messianic age and then get another stab at it a few thousand years later after he figures out what he did wrong the first time.

Because that is His name. Jesus; Yeshua, the Messiah. Not Yeshua Ben Yosef. He was conceived of the HOLY SPIRIT, not of Joseph.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows; After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, 'Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the HOLY SPIRIT.

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.'

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, 'God with us.

Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS." Matt. 1:18-25

The language of the time (in which the NT is written) was Greek. Christ is Greek for the Hebrew word Messiah. He became known as Jesus Christ by his followers.

Yeshua means salvation in Hebrew and it is translated Issa, Iesus, Jesus, Gesu', etc etc

Just like Mohamed become Maometto in Italian.... I could go down the line

His "family name" has not been revealed, do not assume things you do not know.

just as the scripture says in john 4:22 salvation is of the jews.

in the ancient hebrew language there was no IEOUCFJQWX see zondervan bible encyclopedia and hastings bible dictionary / encyclopedia

10 letters missing from today's version.

so how could His name be Jesus or Yeshua ?

or how could the Name of God be Yahweh or Jehovah or how could the hebrew Elohiym be the correct spelling for God in ancient hebrew ?

Ben Yosef was not His name, He was not the son of Yosef.

You have got entangled in semantics and not what God has revealed.
