What should I eat after exercise?

Every time i come home from the gym or get back from running, I binge terribly on anything high in sugar that's in the house. I always drink a bottle of water before I eat anything, but what else should I keep on hand to eat after exercising that's good for me, or at least filling:)

I heard once that you should drink chocolate milk.

After working out hard, you have to replenish your body with good sugars......

After I go for a run I usually grab an apple.... has sugars, but is really healthy

first what are your goals? next you need to get rid of that craving for the sugars! think the filling of not being full makes you craze the sugar. go to a better source of carbs that will fill you but not fatten you and replenishing your body with electrolytes and water. also if you are going for muscle taking in your protein at this time will help get it into your body for faster absorption. so many answers and ways to answer this question.

1.5g/kg of body weight high glycemic carb. 05.g/kg of fast absorbing protein.
