Can somebody tell me why Bradford, Clausen and McCoy will be picked ahead of Tebow?

I don't get it. I mean, statistics are one thing (look at Colt Brennan). But Tebow is supposed to be better espacially than Clausen?

Update:

In my book, Tebow is not much different from Tavaris Jackson or even Vince Young. Run first or not.

I've been a huge advocate of Matt Leinart in the past years so actually what I'm looking for is McCoy in this draft, I guess.

Tebow has bad technique and is a run first QB. He is the white Kordell Stewart. Bradford and McCoy are pure QBs. I don't know too much about Clausen but I've heard he is better than Quinn was which is hopeful. My team won't be drafting a QB (Packers) but I sure as heck wouldn't want them taking Tebow. I need a Peyton Manning and not a Quincy Carter.

For me: 1. Bradford - Rare accuracy which is impressive. Should be a good qb in the pro's 2. Clausen - The second most polished QB. My only concern with him is his leadership abilities and his deep ball. If you watch when he throws the deep ball it seems like he reaches back to far. This propels the ball into a jump ball with too much air under it. This will lead to interceptions in the nfl. 3. McCoy - I don't care if he is 6'2. Look at Drew Brees. This guy has that "it" factor. He has great accuracy, he is a natural charismatic leader. The guy should be a great west coast qb. He doesn't have the strongest arm but who cares? He will be running a west coast offense with a QB guru in Cleveland. 4. Tebow - A mystery pick. Denver may have wasted a 1st round pick but then again he may be a diamond in the rough, great work ethic. attitude and desire to succeed (Good things to have). He had horrible mechanics but has really turned it around. At his pro day i'd say he looked 75% fixed. Then again that was without a pass rush. How do you rate them??

tebow is raw... has lots of question marks about his ablilty translating to the NFL and if he will even project out as a QB. Everyone knows he works his A S S off, but his throwing motion needs work, yes he has worked on it but has not had a pass rush, so it remindes to be seen if he can contain it. Numbers have nothing to do with your draft stock, its all about making it in the NFL and the transistion into it. Clausen comes from the most "pro ready" system which is why he will more than likely be a first round draft choice. Although it wont surprise me if the "big four" are all taken in round one.

The style Tebow succeeded under wont work in the NFL. That option crap and dive plays that Florida runs wont work in the NFL. hes too much of a system QB like Alex Smith who was also taught under Meyer. Tebow also has poor footwork and throwing mechanics. Great leader but wont have the skills to succeed as a QB in the NFL

Looks like only Bradford was. Bradford is a classic drop back passer. Glad Tebow went to a good team and in the first round.

What you're forgetting is that Clausen was coached by a guy that has 4 SB rings and Tebow was coached by a guy that has 0 SB rings.

For all of Charlie Weiss' failings as a head coach at ND you cannot overlook the fact that his qbs always operated in pro system...not so w/ Urban Meyer's qbs

Tebow has more flaws than the other QBs mentioned. Played in a system that doesn't translate to the NFL. Arm Strength questionable, delivery below average, accuracy not that good. NFL scouts don't put as much attention to stats as opposed to the skill set of the player and how it transfers to the NFL game.

    I think:

    1. McCoy (qb)

    2. Bradford

    3. Tebow

    4. Clausen

First of all McCoy and Suh would be the consensus best prospect in any other draft not including each other, and yes bradford is better than tebow. He's better and he will transition better. Tebow I see having a hard time because while he is working hard, so is everyone else.

Bad mechanics, slow delivery, more of an option QB than a drop back passer.

Honestly, I dont think any of these guys will be Hall of Famers, heck not even Pro Bowlers. Probably the weakest QB class in years.

My prediction: Dab Lefebvre will have the best career and Tebow will covert to a TE within 2-3 seasons.
