Can someone answer a partially confusing question about USPS?
Ok. So just today I paid for an item and they are shipping it via USPS and I was wondering does USPS ship on Sundays ? (here's where you might think I'm stupid for asking this question) I'm not asking if they deliver to your door on Sunday. I know that part. I'm asking if they travel your package to a different location on Sundays or is it left at one USPS office for that Sunday?
If y'all don't get what I'm talking about then let me know.

Honestly I would of said without a doubt a few months ago Yes it would still be in transit on a Sunday, but with the cutbacks the postal service is making I would not feel 100% confident with a yes.. I do think mail going long distances would still be in transit on a Sunday.. but mail moving from a regional transfer point may not be moving on Sundays*

Yes the package is still in transit even on Sundays. Most mail carried by U.S.P.S. going anywhere of a distance does travel by air and it moves 24/7.

If it made the plane or truck, it will still travel on a Sun.
But then it will get to the next collection point and will have to go through handling again.
