Did Reagan really make a deal with the terrorists in the Iran/Contra thing?
After all, if someone has to get up in public and state that he did not do something, in reality, he did do something. It was said by Reagan then, "If we make a deal with the terrorists, then they will keep on terrorizing," and then went on to say that he, "...did not make a deal with the terrorists."
Well, now that we had Daddy Bush as president, and he blamed Iran/Contra on his Colonel, and had to go through Baby Bush, don't you think they made a deal with the terrorists? Look at all the terror going around.

The people who received the weapons weren't terrorists. They were members of the ruling Islamist Party of Iran who'd wrested control of the country from the Shah in 1976 (?) and then taken everyone in the US Embassy in Tehran hostage. According to some accounts, Reagan had made a deal with them to hold these hostages until after the November 1980 Presidential election. So, Reagan had already had dealings with Iran before Iran-Contra.
Skip ahead to 1985. Iraq and Iran are at war - again - and 7 Americans are taken hostage in Lebanon by a terrorist group affiliated with Iran's ruling Islamist Party. Iran wants weaons to fight Iraq and America wants the hostages released. So a deal is made. America will sell weapons - via Israel - to Iran. Then the $$$ from selling Iran the arms was laundered by buying Cocaine which was then sold on the streets of Los Angeles and other large American cities. This drug money was then used to supply the Contras fighting against the new Sandanista government of Nicaragua. It was confusing then and hasn't been really made clearer over the years. When asked about his role in it, Reagan didn't deny it. He said he couldn't remember so literally there were no lies on his part. There just wasn't much truth.

Reagan made a deal with the right wing patriots who were fighting the communists in El Salvador. It was Reagan who had the patriotic Colonel (Oli North) who took the fall to protect his President. Reagan presided over Iran/Contra, not Bush. Both Bush's were liberals who favored one world communist government as does Obama. Open the history book and take another look. Your facts are a bit scrambled.
