Do you find it easy or hard to pick out an absolute FAVOURITE band?
It seems that everyone I talk to about music lately has an absolute favourite band that *stands out* from the rest of the bands they listen to.
For me, though, I find it hard to pick out a favourite band because there are so many good bands out there. Sure, I have preferences within my music taste but I find it hard to choose a band that stand out for miles out of other bands I listen to.
Do you find it easy or hard to pick out a band that stands out above the rest?
(If you have one) what is your favourite band?

So very hard. A few months ago, it was The Strokes for quite a while. I stuck onto them, got my hands on all their albums, almost all their solo albums, some rare editions of their things, their singer's autograph, a load of imported and out of print CD singles, two copies of a rare fan-club only release, their debut 7" record from 2001, and other random nick-nacks. Not very long later, I really got into Pearl Jam (and basketball). I got over the Pearl Jam thing just over a week ago, changed my wallpaper back to The Strokes, and now I'm in love with The Clash. I doubt I'll ever be able to decide, but The Strokes seem to be on top no matter what.

David Bowie's Glam Rock masterpiece: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars. Who knows how many people that album influenced. Though of course, most people with any sense know that Bowie is a really influential chameleon of an artist. BQ: You CAN'T force me to answer that, and besides I can't anyway, since I can only answer questions through Yahoo!Xtra Answers which is the New Zealand version. BQ2: Chrome is pretty cool indeed. I'm glad that I finally got around to downloading it. Edit: Glam Rock isn't my only favourite.

Yes, I do have a hard time choosing because I tend to like a couple songs here and there and end up having about A million different bands/artists in my mp3. But i do like RK (owl c. related)and paramore and blink 182.

it's pretty easy for me. i've always had one favorite band or singer, even though they changed over the years, that i loved more than all the rest. after that one favorite, though, i could never put all my other favorites in the order i liked them, from most to least. that's always the hardest.
i really can't imagine not having an absolute favorite - to me, it would be like not having a best friend.

An ABSOLUTE fave would be hard to pick, because my favorite genre is Sixties rock and there are so many choices there. I like the Beatles, Stones, and Who.

Yep, it's easy for me. Muse is my all time favorite band, then I have five that follow, then I have the rest. I have a system. XD

Its so hard! I'm in love with soooo many bands. But if I had to pick one, it would be Paramore, cause they rock.
