I moved to a new school this year and about a month ago one of my friends from my new school invited me to a party. I was really thrilled about it as I knew that I could fit in and so immediately said yes. -This is about a month ago-

Meanwhile, I have a best friend who's in Wellington and she's coming up to Auckland ON THE SAME DAY AT THE SAME TIME as the party and my other best friends are thinking of catching up at a Florence and the Machine concert. *I just got informed about this*

Which should I go to? On one hand I understand that I made a promise to go to the first party because I got asked first and because I'll be missing on a lot of fun if I don't...but on another hand I miss my friend like hell and want to catch up with her because I don't see her very often...any ideas on what I should do?

BQ: favourite "day" in the year?

So, I'm in the process of writing a book and I'm having trouble naming the main character (male).

He is a 15-year-old high school student from a very rich background, in the upper class society. He has longish golden brown hair that flops against his face and blue eyes. He's tall (about 5 foot 10) and really sporty, plays lots of sports.

He seems to have a very confident personality to others, although secretly haunted by his own demons and insecurities from the past. His parents are both rich so he appears to be snotty at times.

He is also a perfectionist, although he tries to be optimistic in front of his peers.

Has lots of friends, but no best friend. Only child but he has a sister who died 5 years ago so he is still haunted by that.

The time setting is modern (early 21st century).

It seems that everyone I talk to about music lately has an absolute favourite band that *stands out* from the rest of the bands they listen to.

For me, though, I find it hard to pick out a favourite band because there are so many good bands out there. Sure, I have preferences within my music taste but I find it hard to choose a band that stand out for miles out of other bands I listen to.

Do you find it easy or hard to pick out a band that stands out above the rest?

Every time I try to copy something from PDF into Word I just do the Copy & Paste thing but it always looks like this (for example):

So at the end of every line I have to click backspace and then space again. During long texts it gets really annoying.

Is there any way to prevent this? Or another way of copying?

(I've tried copying text into notepad and wordpad then pasting it onto Word and it doesn't work either way).
