Why is there so many Too Many Men on the Ice penalties this year?

Are the officials calling it closer or are teams just changing up that much more sloppy? Is there another reason?

Update:

That last one in the Caps game was a clear cut one, but some have left me wondering ...

I've thought about this myself. I believe that the officials are watching it more closely.... during the regular season I'll see teams get away with too many men on the ice and the officials not call it. This playoffs the refs and linesmen seem to be on top of it.

Hmm...I believe the Caps have been called for too many men on the ice twice now in the playoffs, and I had not seen them do that in the entire regular season. You could clearly see Boudreau mouth "stupid Fehr!" in tonight's game, and rightly so. I think its just sloppiness by the Caps under the heightened pressure of the playoffs.
