How can I get my laptop to run photoshop better?
I just got a brand new laptop and it works wonderfully. It's very fast, and opens up multiple webpages at an excellent pace. I still have 131 free GB out of 142. The only problem is I recently installed Adobe Photoshop CS4 Portable, and at first it was running perfectly but now the program itself takes a while to respond and it's kind of frustrating. Everything else is still at tip-top speed. How can I get my laptop to run Photoshop better?

A portable app thinks it is, err, portable so it doesn't look for things on the hard drive like a regularly installed program does. As a result it puts everything in memory and that is what slows down your computer. A portable app is to carry around on a flash drive, not copy to a computer. The trade-off is performance, especially with a memory intensive program like PS.

Check out the brand new Dell XPS M1710 computer. It would be the reply to your entire questions!!! Or you'll accept the fewer robust however similarly spectacular Inspiron sequence which will run any methods or video games. Their Latitude sequence pc can maintain two GB or extra of RAM reminiscence so the whole thing shall be a breeze. I wager there shall be identical laptops in different manufacturers as good.

131gb out of 142 is a lot used up. You could try simple maintenance of your laptop. For example, download ad-aware and spybot - search and destroy to get rid of malware. Scan your computer with antivirus. Defrag it. alt+ctrl+tab and close processes that you don't need (be careful).
