why won't my dell pc running windows xp run in safe mode?
Update:
edit: I do know what safe mode is for. I need to run a scan in safe mode but the computer will not start in safe mode. I know about hitting F8 etc, but it always go to a blue screen (of death?) Why won't it boot in safe mode, I guess I should say.

safe mode is not for doing anything but fixing issues running diagnostic it loads minimal drivers so you cant surf the net burn cds etc.
