Spiritually speaking, should I tell my son's father I am working?
My son's father thinks I sit on my butt all day and collect welfare. The truth is I collect welfare ($95 a week) and work under the table ($150 a week) This is the only reason I can afford to have any leniency with him when it comes to his child support ($65 a week) that he hasn't paid in 5 weeks. And yes I know I need to hit up the court house about that.
The issue is, I don't think he is smart enough to understand that. He might well go off the handle and try to make it so that I can't collect welfare, of course what would happen is I wouldn't be able to work at all, but I'm not sure how he would handle it.
I'm asking here because there are more people and strangely the whole seems much smarter than the rest of Y!A, sorry for the categorizing.
Any advice?
My state has a childcare program, but in order to get that, you have to be on welfare for a certain amount of time. I tried for that first, but was told I have to go this route, I'm sorry. I have paid into this system my whole life and have no wish to ride it any further than I have to in order to provide proper care for my son.

See if you can get the States Attorney's office to garnish his wages for the child support. That's an available recourse in a lot of states.
Edit to add: No, I wouldn't tell him jack.
