Insecure boyfriend keeps asking if I am leaving?
I have been seperated from my husband for well over a year now, not being able to afford a divorce and meeting the man of my dreams, I started a new relationship anyway. I couldn't just pass him up. lol So anyway finally all is been taken care of with the divorce and I will be signing the papers in a week. Since the news my boyfriend has been really insecure and keeps asking if I am going to leave him since I will be "free." I am not sure how to handle the situation or what is going on in his head. any ideas???

He probably assumed that you have been with him only because you needed an excuse for yourself to get away from a bad marriage and that he was your only solace. But now he feels that since the marriage won't be an issue anymore for you, you might not feel the need to have him in your life. Maybe he presumed that he is one of the few guys who don't mind being with a married woman and that now that you'll be single you'll have many more to choose from.
I think he just needs your reassurance that you love him for who he is and how happy he makes you and for no selfish and temporary reasons.

Honestly, if he's doing it all of a sudden he's probably feeling guilty because he's cheating on you. If you are sure he's not doing anything behind your back, maybe you should reevaluate how you have been acting towards him. Maybe you have been really busy, or standoffish towards him recently.

he does sound very insucure.. are u his first love.. i know when some get into a relationship they fall head over heels with the person they are with and are affraid of lossingthem, which is poss the case with him... i guess show him alot of affection and that u care for him, make sure he knows u love him. that may get annoying if u are the kind that likes ur space, but i know i am head over heels with my man and have the same feeling, but if he shows me love and affection i am ok. and that he wants to be with me..
