so im getting confirmed into Catholic church in like 2 hours and i have a question......?

my confirmation sponsor cant come to the mass(confirmation ceremony) . and now my mom is having a relative stand in for her, but the relative isn't Catholic...............(shes Baptist)

does this matter??!!!

i was just wondering if the actuall ceremony would sitll be valid and apperently it is, i have nothing against Baptists lol i just think of them as more hardcore christians

    The sacrament will be valid. You will receive all the graces of the sacrament as if your missing sponsor were there.

    Just remember the name of the Church is not what counts but where your heart is in relationship with Jesus Christ your Savior. This is the Value of your confirmation is where is your Heart..In Love, I hope, to your Creator Only who can forgive you of sin and to whom you are to repent to says the Bible...Baptist people Love Jesus too.

    It shouldn't matter. Some Catholic churches are greedy and only allow "members" of their church to come in (so they can pay tithes), but others are open and welcoming to any denomination who wants to attend the ceremony.
