Do you think Mayweather has the chin to take Mosley's power punches?

yes he has good defensive work n thats why he never gets hit so much. But then again, he has never fought a power puncher like Mosley. Do you think he will fall if a few of Mosley's hooks get through?

If Mosley connects i guarantee you Floyd will feel them, just look at what Mosley did to "Granite Chin" Margarito.

No I don't think Floyd's chin can handle Mosley's power, if Shane hurts Floyd, he will KO Floyd. The problem fighting Floyd is he is hard to land on, Mosley has to somehow either cut the ring off and pressure Floyd into a mistake, or somehow lure Mayweather into a slugging match by convincing Floyd to engage him. So far, in the last 40 fights Floyd has had, no one he fought was able to do that effectively. Shane has his work cut out for him tomorrow, it's gonna be a tough fight for both of them.

Taking it flush to the chin is the last thing a fighter like Floyd would allow. But it isn't that he hasn't been hit hard and squarely in his previous fights. He has been but those have been few and far in between.Floyd was also quick to react and blunt a possible fatal followup.

Surely, Floyd hasn't fought anybody like Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler whose lead blows could stagger and paralyze an opponent making possible a finishing coup de grace. I don't think Mosley has the quality of the KO punches that the marvelous trio had, especially Hearns.

Manny has been known to kayo foes with just one blow but those opponents were not as defense-conscious, quick and skilled as Floyd so vanish the thought.

im sure he could take a few.

but the thing is the shots that hurt/ knock you out are ones you dont see or land completely flush to the chin or head. and it would have to be a hell of a shot on top of that. if mayweather were to get hit flush across the chin with a mosley haymaker hook yes, he would be in trouble. the thing is that aint gonna happen. mosley can box but he lunges with his punches which will slow him down just enough to let floyd "react" to his attempts. mosley WILL be one step behind all night. he can have mike tysons power but it aint gonna matter if he cant land...

I've said before, I'm predicting a SD win OR a late stoppage in favor of Mosley. Floyd can't possibly avoid Shane's punches for a full 36 minutes. Not with someone that quick. A slow plodding blown up lightweight, absolutely. But a strong, natural welter? Nope. Floyd's going to be in for a rough night whenever Shane touches him up.

Antonio Margarito had one of the best chins in and around the division. If Mosley could drop Margarito, then I feel he could do the same to Mayweather, who isn't used to getting hit flush by someone with power.

It's very possible that Mosley gonna sneak some of his power punches right into Floyd's (doubtful)jaw and we'll see how Mayweathers going to deal with that.

Mayweather has the chin to take Mosley's power punches, the question is how will his legs respond to that.

That's one of the major questions coming into this fight; can Floyd take a shot from Shane? People might say Floyd doesn't need to take anything because he can avoid it with great defense but WHAT IF? For reference, check Floyd's fights with Demarcus Corley and Sharmba Mitchell. He got buzzed albeit accidentally by those 2 but they were southpaws.

IMO, he can take a shot or 2 from Shane but not flush like the one margarito took. That's one key factor I'm looking for in the fight because it will show how much heart Floyd has to take a shot and actually recover from it.

    Hope this helps.

what people who think they know boxing dont realize is that margacheato has no head movement. floyd is the master of defense. but i dont think hed be able to take the ones margarito took. but then again he wont take those.
