How to sleep after seeing a scary movie?

I knew it would be a bad idea, but some friends were asking and I don't get out much, so I went at midnight to see Nightmare on Elm St. Well now I am scared to go to sleep, and I have to be up in less than 5 hours. Any ideas??

Calm yourself. Try to watch a funny tv show or a movie for a while, then after that try to watch a boring movie or a tv show, until your system calms down.

And remember make sure your in an area with light, don't watch without lights, or you'll never be relaxed.

And if you really want to sleep. Don't close the light on your room and put a blindfold for you to sleep, or if you don't have a blindfold use a small cover. And you can try to relax, think of something else - don't think of the movie. Or if you can't make the scary things funny, like they slipped into ground because of a banana ;)

Put on cartoon network and then after you fell a little bit better turn the volume down to one or two and sleep with the cartoons on all night or try the religious Chanel's it's very comforting or you can even try sleeping with your rosary around your neck and saying the rosary and saying prayers while watching cartoons this is what I do and it works every time I have a nightmear or when I'm just felling scared before bed and if all fails sleep with the lights on Its kinda werd how cartoons are so comforting

Source(s): I used to have very bad nightmears every night

I always get scared after watching scary movies too. Just put on a funny movie or a cartoon! It works for me.

That movie must have been good. I want to see it!

Just remember IT`S NOT REAL. It`s never happened...TO ANYONE in real life so calm down, they`re all just actors/actresses it doesn`t really happen, relaaaax take deep breaths and think of all your favorite things, or watch your favourite movie or something really funny to make up for it. Good luck and hope this helps!

Watching care bears gives me nightmares too. Just think positive happy thoughts or maybe watch Family guy or just something funny to get your mind off it.

You should watch another movie or any shows that are funny to replace the scary movie memory
