This subwoofer can handle this amp, right?
I'm new to the whole car stereo stuff. I just bought a Diamond D112 ( http://www.diamondaudio.com/content/view/140/157/ ) and I am looking at a 350 watt Kenwood amp ( http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Amplif... ) that a friend is selling. This sub can handle the amp, right? And if it will handle it OK or not, any tips or recommendations on how many watts/rms I should be looking for.
I don't prefer just one brand. I was gonna buy the Kenwood amp becuase the guy is selling it for $50. That's a good price. But I will upgrade in the future.
Making another question: even though you recommend a 600watt amp, will this 350watt amp run everything fine without problems? will it still make the sub loud enough?
Also, would a 300watt planet audio amp ( http://www.planetaudiousa.com/main/601 ) be better than the kenwood 350 watt?

Yes as only the RMS watts count and that amp was made for clarity in subs or speakersnot much louder. RMSshould be if 240 watt x 2 be 60-80 RMS. a cheap 1000 x 2 amp will be almost same RMS as will distort any higher which RMS is when starts to distort, or actually just below.

Buy the amp according to ur speaker rating. if u hav 4 of 50w speakers and a 200W subwoofer , then u need a minimum of 200+50+50+50+50 = 400W amp. so calculate ur speaker rating and then buy it. amplifier increases the power of output . so as high the power is,, higher will the output loudness .
so calculate ur Watts total and buy it . one more thing is that if u buy a higher rated amp. u can later add on a larger of high rated sub and speakers if needed.
for D112 , http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Amplif... would be what ill be suggesting for u if insisting on kenwood. a better brand would be JBL

dixondominicpalett, where did you get this from:Buy the amp according to ur speaker rating. if u hav 4 of 50w speakers and a 200W subwoofer , then u need a minimum of 200+50+50+50+50 = 400W amp.
It looks like you need to either learn to read or learn what your doing. I highly doubt that your a professional sound engineer, and if your are, you must barely get paid.
