Should a woman who is a mother expect a gift from her husband on Mothers day?

Update:

So, on Secretaries Day, it's not just the boss who needs to take her to lunch--the guy in the mail room should buy every secretary flowers?

If they have a very small child, then yes I think the husband should be getting her a gift.

I have two grown sons, and my husband still gets me a gift every Mother's Day, even though I don't expect it. I've got a really considerate husband though - I don't know about other men.

I believe so. Even though your wife is not your mother, she is still the mother of your children. Because of that she deserves some recognition on Mother's Day.

not necessarily a gift but you should definitely show your appreciation to your wife or anyone who is a mom. This can be done through gifts, spending the evening with her etc.

supposedly, if you do indeed love your wife you should show some love regardless of the occasion. mothers day is for the ones who took responsibility and cared for your children besides the predicament or situation.

If she's the mother of YOUR children, then absolutely yeah! If you'd gone through the excrutiating rigors of childbearing, you'd understand!
