Help installing Sims 2 Double Deluxe?
Ok, I just bought the Sims 2 Double Deluxe today as I wanted to install Celebration Stuff off of it. But for some odd reason when I have the cd in the drive, it keeps asking me to insert disk one. Which is really odd as it only came with one disk any way. And I was wondering if this is a common issue with this version of the game or what? I also bought Fun with Pets so I could install Mansion and Garden stuff off that and it worked fine in my computer, just like with all my other expansions and stuff packs. So I am not sure what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, although I'm leaning towards taking it back.
Just thought I would add for Matt and fellow answerers. That when it says insert disk one, it isn't specific about disk one of what exactly. Not the Double Deluxe Cd, nor the original PC DVD-Rom one that I bought a long time ago.
I also went to the EA site and found this as a possible solution: Go to My Computer > Device Manager and remove your CD / DVD Drive. Then, reboot and let windows find the drive and automatically re-install it. Does this fix your problem?
That was given as help to another player of the game. But she never wrote back if it helped or not. Has anyone else tried this and had any success? My laptop is a Gateway, has a windows 7 home premium operating system and even 4.00 GB of Ram if that helps. It is also a AMD Turion(tm) X2-Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 Ghz processer. If this helps with anything.

The Disc one may be referring to Disc one of the actual game (Sims 2) hope that helps.

whats up that sux i had the comparable issue with that interest and the shops wont take them lower back you are able to attempt to take it lower back and get a clean one, yet im not making any ensures which will do something
