Why can't I send outgoing mail in Windows Live Mail?

I bought a laptop last year, and use our home's wireless internet connection. I set up Windows Live Mail the same way I had Windows Mail set up on our wired desktop, with the same settings. I am able to receive messages through Live Mail on the laptop, but my outgoing messages won't go through. I've tried changing the outgoing server to all three settings (POP, IMAP, SMTP) but none works. I get the error message "The server does not support an SSL connection."

Any help?

When the server says it doesn't support SSL, you should untick the box
