I'm not a Pro or expert, I hope you get more expert answers than mine, but I know Vitamin E and or Aloe are worth their money, do your skin & more fantastic amounts of good healing & moisturizing, maybe even germ killing & such, but I know they're all good.
Long ago I look for "less is more" in my soap, like no fragrances or chemicals, like old-fashion Ivory, but Dove is worth the added moisturizer, better gentleness, & Neutrogena's never let me down (I apologize for dropping Name Brands, I use low cost often, if I take time to read the Ingredients & delight that I want simple soap, so if the Ingredients aren't simple, no way, pretty fast decision ;-))
The aloe & E, you don't have to worry about overdose or drug interaction or bad side effect,.. if you consume too much you body will simply get rid of the waste, anti-oxidant.
You can eat 'em, drink 'em, rub 'em on, no stress.
Maybe even just apply aloe and or E lotion all over after the shower, rather than drying with a towel, for the most part, I bet THAT would help you along.
Oh, & ones that are made for babies like baby lotion should not cause problems, that & hypo-allergenic.
I hope it goes very well for you & I hope you receive better answers than this :-)

Oh Roscoe, thank you for reposting that.. I listened to the birds song every morning that I was at my dads in Alabama... They just do not sing the same here outside my window now.

Maybe you are allergic to your soap or shower gel. Try changing it to one for sensitive skin and see if that helps.
