Study up on the plant and find out what conditions it needs to thrive and as long as you provide those conditions, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. A friend of mine and me bought a potato vine plant last year, supposedly an outdoor-summer-spring type plant, but I tried my hardest to keep that thing going all winter, it died, anyways, my friend got the other half and being as she really doesn't like too many indoor plants around, she had the neighbor across the way keep her half in her neighbors apt, whom is hardly ever home and during the winter she keeps her place much cooler than most people, anyways that potato vine thrived and got bigger and is just beautiful, but cuz I raise Cockatiels, I keep my apt warmer in winter, so we know what happened there. Well,
Sorry, I like to yabber, Good Luck with your plant, I love pussy willows too, I always wanted to get one, but I would keep it outside, I think they will survive the winter if you insulate and cover it's main growing area.....

It might, and I can understand your desire for a tree, but I do believe trying to grow a tree indoors is cruelty to trees. They need earth to spread their roots, sunshine and rain - they're outdoor plants.

There was a little girl who put a dry pea in her nose and finished up with it sprouting and causing infection. But apple seed that survive digestion will come down with your droppings.
