Well, for starters cut out any junk food you may be eating. Then cut out any soda's or sugary drinks. Also make sure you don't eat snacks late at night or right before you go to bed as your body will not be able to work off what you ate. And last but not least drink plenty of water. Water is the most pure thing you can have and since it doesn't have any sugars in it you are keeping yourself quenched and not adding unnecessary calories to your diet.

As for a workout program (which will go hand in hand with eating right), there are plenty of them on TV so you don't "need" a gym membership. Anything that gets your blood pumping and gets you out of your seat is good for you. I do Gilad workouts after I get home from work and they are fun and easy, plus they are free! It is 30 minutes and I don't stop moving and feel great when I am done. Just check your TV for workout programs and you are bound to find something you like. Plus Target sells things like weights and workout bands and even workout videos.

I would aim for losing 2 to 3 pounds per week and don't try to lose it all quickly as it will make you sick. You didn't gain the weight over night so you can't expect to lose it that way. Kudos to you for trying to get healthy. And stick to whatever plan you make. Good luck.

First thing first, no soda, fast food, beer (except some light beer) and don't eat fatty red meats (lean meat is ok) Those right there are some of the main problems for guys. After that find an exercise program that you like (anything from home workout to gym membership), and add to it an active sport that you like, go out jogging every morning with your favorite mp3s or go mountain biking, guys are competitive so whatever you do make sure its fun for you and make it into a competition if possible. Dont buy stuff that you know is unhealthy when you go grocery shoping, if its not in your house, your not going to eat it. Now this advice is the basics and guys lose weight quick so it may be enough, dont expect a washboard stomach or anything with this, that takes it to the next level.

the first thing you should do is do regular exercise - fit in a 30 minute jog every day & swimming as often as you can.

you then should try to reduce your calorie intact - fruit and veg have very few calories. for example if you had this as your daily routine:

    wake up in the morning

go for a 30 minute jog

have a shower (another tip to burn calories is to have a minute cold shower after your hot shower)

breakfast - bananana - around 110 calories and lots of energy so will stop you being hungry.

a light snack such as an apple or some carrots or celery

lunch - pita bread with low fat spread or just some lettuce with no dressing.

dinner - fish, potatoes and vegetables.

another tip is to drink a lot of water - 90% of the time you're hungry you're actually thirsty so drink at least 2 litres of water every day if you start to feel hngry

the most important thing is to decrease your calories and increase calories burn, you'll be able to loose weight and be healthy if you cut out snacking and increase exercise.

also if you're in the UK things like weightwatchers often work - you count your points & get weighed every week to see your progress but really you can recreate this by setting yourself to about 1,000 calories per day and sticking to it.

I think you should also ask your doctor.

    good luck! xxxx

Pay money to lose weight? That's hilarious. Just fast for 10 days. Remember to ease into the fast and ease out of it because otherwise it could be dangerous.
