Holiday in U.S. today,,,,,,,?

Any holiday other than the National Day of Mumbling Mystical Incantations Into Outer Space is a welcome one.

I like America, or, more accurately, I don't hate it enough to cause any harm to it, or to support any idea or ideology to harm it. Honestly, I would actively defend it & protect it, and in my own little way, I do it too. Having said that, I have to say what i see: all holidays in America are a holiday of reason....these are the days when americans take a break from reasoning, & do not think at all...as evidenced by the numerous sales regardless of the reason for the holiday. :)

I am at work and planning to gather with Christian fellowship to pray. Today is also the National Day of Prayer for those who observe it. I thank God I work in a place where Christians can gather for fellowship and prayer if we feel like it. Don't worry, we gather in a place that's not public so you won't have to look at us. We'll even close the door if you like.

It's only a holiday if I have the day off.

I'll venture to say most of you celebrating this holiday are unemployed anyway.

I work freelance so I gave myself the day off.

According to Google trends, it is also national nurse's day. Woo!
