Can there be a revolution to eliminate religion in politics?
I'll be the head of it. These people who think that there is some god that rules the heavens is their best friend and we ALL need to do things their way because of it. Nevermind who they keep in power. It's all for god.
i say either they politely excuse themselves from our government, or face revolution, and it's consequences.

The United States government has been inundated with a right-wing fundamentalism that took over the Republican party in the 1980s and then spread throughout our system like a malignant cancer, threatening the very principles upon which this nation was built (Goldberg, 2006). One of the worst components of this insurgency, a psycho-pseudo-"Christian" dominionistic cult called simply The Family (Sharlet, 2008), is based in Washington D.C. and has embedded itself dangerously into the Republican party on Capital Hill. Example: C Street house on Capital Hill, notorious for being the highly secretive and subsidized residence of philandering right-wing fundamentalist Republican Senators Ensign and Pickering, and also of Mark Sanford before he became the Argentina-bound Governor in absentia, is also home of Senator Inhofe, the homophobic fundamentalist religious-nut right-winger who pushed the Ugandan government (members of The Family, Rachel Maddow and Sharlet learned) to have the DEATH PENALTY for homosexuals---that is until he was caught being involved by "The Rachel Maddow Show" on MSNBC and backed off. These people think their religion is the only "valid" one and that they are "ordained by [their version of] God" to "take dominion over every level of government and over every nonbeliever" (Goldberg, 2006). Other names this cult uses include the following: Michael Farris's "Generation Joshua" cited in Goldberg's book, or Youth With A Mission, YWAM, The Federation, The Foundation, etc., and they have spread to all 50 states through homeschooling from infancy (brainwashing) using LITERAL scripture, and also to some foreign countries---with the stated GOAL (if one digs deep enough) of WORLD DOMINANCE for a one-religion-only [THEIRS] THEOCRACY! These are nutwing Pat Robertson-type Americans doing this---not foreign terrorists, and the Hutaree extremists are just one example of the types of "crazies" (Schaefer, 2007) involved in the stealth coup movement. The only REVOLUTION the American people need is the same one used in 2006: Vote the religious-nut extremist Republicans OUT OF OFFICE! Get some MODERATES back into the GOP! Keep these religious fanatics OFF of our local SCHOOL BOARDS so that evolution can be taught without gooping it up and so that our teenagers don't have to have the fundamentalist anal-retentive right-wing nutjobs' harping on ABSTINENCE ONLY which even Bristol Palin (pregnant as a teen) has declared to be "unrealistic" and also unsafe.

This is America, and we all have the freedom of speech. Take away that and we are America no longer. If the majority of the people agree with what you say, then it may well happen in the future. However, since I do believe in God, I hope it never does. We are here on this planet to be kind and loving and selfless, not mean and nasty and selfish like it seems we as a society have become. God Bless America!

no... you don't have to believe it...no body does but you have the right to state your opinions... it isn't right just to say that they don't have a right and it should be eliminated... they all have every right... it may not be all god... which is hard and debatable sometimes even to me who has been attending church since I was 9.... but in either way.... i do have to say that yes sometimes they overuse these phrases that we will be permanently punished if we don't follow these rules.. that is invading the privilege's of freedom of religion but it gets to a point of one of two things...stating your opinion or pressing and pushing it on people... trying to change there minds... but that's not what they are doing...
they shouldn't be saying that we all need to do things there way.. yes.. I understand that.. but one thing is for sure...
freedom of religion and freedom of Speech
that just it
we ALL have those rights and it won't change

Calm down. Once Obama makes the USA a communist country all religion will be outlawed. Then you'll see your revolution and it will not be pretty.

There could be. Let us avoid it by making sure that Religion stays out off our political existence.

Well democracy is ruled by the majority and seeing as the majority of people on the planet believe in one religion or another you be enforcing apartheid rule and that is far worse.

I'm all for it. I'd eliminate all the major religions that came from that freaking loser desert altogether if I could.
