How did Muhammad and Paul compare in divine signs, and why were divine signs important?

Allah said, “I inspired the Disciples [of Jesus, 500 years before Muhammad] to have faith in Me” (Quran 5:111). Quran 61:14 also proclaims that the Disciples of Jesus “are Allah’s helpers!”

Indeed they were. Jesus’ Rasul (Apostle) and Nabi (Prophet) Paul himself wrote and co-wrote 14 books of the Gospel as Allah was inspiring him.

Rasul Paul never met Jesus before His crucifixion. It was from Heaven that Allah appeared as a bright light to proclaim Himself as the risen Jesus, and called Paul to be His rasul and nabi.

FYI: I use the word “Allah” to mean “God.” Some Christian Bibles such as Indonesian Bible uses the word “Allah” as a title meaning “God” and the word “allah” meaning “god.” According to Kitab al-Aghani, the formula “Bimillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim” was of Jewish origin (1876 J.M.Rodwell “The Koran”). In the original Aramaic Syriac, this formula would read “Bismilalaha Rahmana Rhima.” Aramaic Syriac used the word “Alah” or Alaha” for the English word “God”, which became “Allah” in Arabic. Thus, the word Allah is a title just as the President or the Secretary, not His proper name. Syriac Christians at the time of Muhammad called Jesus as Rahmana (1902 H. Hirschfeld “New Researches into the Composition and Exegesis of the Quran). According to Eph 2:7-10 and Titus 3:4-8, we are saved by Rahman through Jesus, and transformed by Rahim through the Holy Spirit.

Update:

Thank you for answering. I read the Quran and found in Muhammad no divine sign, either.

On Paul, Luke, who wrote one of the four biographies of Jesus, was Paul’s friend. Luke wrote extensively about the Paul’s ministry. Peter himself affirmed Paul’s writings, “as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures” (2 Peter 3:15-16, NKJV).

FYI: the Quran uses the terms “Tribes (of Israel)” and “I inspired the Disciples” (Q 5:111) to refer to the apostles and prophets not named specifically in the Quran.

“We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to ... the TRIBES (Isaiah, Peter, Paul, etc)” (Quran 2:136).

The Bible is unique because it was written by the apostles and prophets themselves instead of their followers.

I don't believe Muhammad did any miracles, while Paul did. Even pieces of his clothing was sent and healed and delivered many, because of the anointing of God on him. These were called special miracles, and all Christians should be doing the same things he did. Jesus said so in John 14:12. Signs are given to establish the evidence that God is real, and that faith in His word produces the signs from God who spoke it.

Paul was not known to Jesus nor did Paul knew Jesus. All the disciples were afraid of him and never trusted him.

The Quran did not mentioned Paul not did it ever mentioned Christianity, what was said in the Quran is that the followers of Jesus were called Hawariyun, and the sect was Al Nasara.

Of course,Paul was regarded as herectics, he was never mentioned in the Quran.

Quran was revealed and delivered by Gabrail to Muhammad directly and has nothing to to with any Christian sects.

Jesus saves and the Holy Spirit transforms, if this is the belief of Islam what more can the Prophet Muhammad do??? Islamic Religion revere the Prophet Muhammad who can only instruct his followers how to obtain Paradise. Judaism are the followers of the God of Abraham who were given instruction to obtain Heaven. Christianity, Jesus says follow me and I will save you, all you have to do is ask and I will forgive you your sins. All Religions you have to work for your salvation but Christianity it is by grace!!!!!
