"Multiculturalism" is not bad. Only the extreme form causes division. But being proud of our heritage, enjoying Pizza one day, Vietnamese the next, and Greek food the next is good for society.

It is wonderful for a person to be multicultural. One one of those cultures should be traditional American. Not because hamburgers and blue jeans are better. But we do need a unifying culture.

Your premise is false... the United Kingdom and France are doing fine, economically... they just have the same xenophobia problem that we do here.. The multiculturalism of the 20th century, i.e. the Irish, Polish, Italians, Germans, etc. worked out just fine, and I doubt that the Mexican contribution is going to be the "death of our society"

The active support for division in a country should not be tolerated. We have gotten past segregation, why would anyone actively encourage it anymore, while at the same time claim themselves to be tolerant? The melting pot is the way to go.
