The soul is the mind. It is created through self awareness and evolves with learning and growth.

    Welcome back.

At birth, the soul is as much a "tabula rasa" as the mind. Both exist, but just as a consciousness without nothing to be conscious of is a contradiction in terms, a soul without emotional content connected to a value system is a contradiction. It does not gain that emotional content until it, and the mind that controls it, have acquired enough knowledge to make them partners in the conscience.

This is not to say that a young child's soul cannot be seen. A young child is well on his/her way to following the epistemological path it has been taught through observation of his parents and others, and well on the way to accepting a metaphysics that fits that epistemology.

Nature and nurture aside, anyone can change his evaluations of the world and of himself, thus changing his soul. He isn't tied to nature and nurture. How many good people rise from bad parents? A lot, these days, it would seem by watching Oprah and other shows. How many people turn bad and ugly after being raised well? A lot these days it would seem by watching Dr. Phil.

In the Old Testament your soul or life is created when a part of God's mind or spirit is breathed into a physical object made of dust or atoms.

Later use of the word soul seems to refer to the individual spirit. which can be seen as the part of God's mind that is uniquely yours. Or simply put your soul in New testament or general usage refers to your mind or consciousness. Minds or spirits most likely evolve in structure but most likely always were or simply popped into existence.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Old testament bible writers believed in a form of dualism where the word translated as "soul" = life or blood which was a combination of spirit or mind and dust or body.

Your soul died when your body died but would be remade in afterlife when/if you get a new body.

Today we use sould to represent mind or spirit that we hope lives on after the death of the body. In other contexts the soul is the induduality or uniquness or what distinguistinguishes you from your environment or other persons.

Some preachers believe the soul is an anointment of worth and higher mental events, and that non-humans like fish or carrots do not have true feelings. In the Abriham Lincoln's time ****** were calssed in the carrots and fish category and therefore di not have human rights and when they screamed in pain it was a pseudo pain and no soul was hurt.

  • I understand a soul to be a point of perspective of reality. Everything alive has a soul, this soul is as complex as it´s subjective experience of the world. A soul exists within life (created by life if you will) and evolves with it.

The individual soul -- your unique consciousness - lives and dies with you, though there is something more collective that lives on. That something collective is the result of an evolutionary process, though that fact does not meanthat it isn't ALSO the consequence of special creation.

Think of a building with a lot of stained-glass windows and think of the sun shining outside. Someone inside the building will see several diferent streams of light, each with its own distinctive shape and coloring, i.e. its personality. But there is only one sun. If a window is blackened over, that "personality" dies. The sun is not affected at all.

The sun in my analogy is the active intellect, which is the same for all of us. The windows are the matrerial bodies. The streams of light are the distinctive personalities that result.

Your life is a drop of water falling into a pond.

Your soul is the ripple you leave behind

Spreading out in those you have touched

In those they touch and so on to the end of time.

Your soul is created by you

    And evolves in others.

It depends what your veiw is, if you look at it through the theory of evolution, there is no such thing as a soul, just a physical body, but if you look at it from a religous veiw, there is a soul or spirit in ones self, so the soul hasn't evolved, it was created by a creators hand.

Good question, but difficult to answer briefly.

There are five basic components of a normal adult human being here on earth. Listed high to low they are:

    1. Personality - the absolutely unchanging and unique potentially eternal You as an

"I am a son of I AM" In my view, this has always existed, and is transmitted by God the Father-Infinite I AM at human sperm-egg union.

    2. Spirit - the pure, pre-personal spirit Essence of God - the will of God - the future spirit-perfected You Spirit Personality United as One. This is transmitted by God the Father at the time of a child's first real and positive moral decision. For example, a child about age five or six years might decide to obey his mom or dad and only buy a loaf of bread and no candy at a nearby general store. If the child does this, the Spirit of God enters the child silently and almost always unknowing to the child as the soul-you Builder, Guide and Thought Adjuster awaiting perfect and final fusion with that unique personality much later up in a higher Heaven of many.

    3. soul - the perfect duplicate you which can survive your physical death here. This soul is the conjoint or co-creation of your will in union-agreement with God's will. Each time this is done, you as a living soul becomes more real ! This process probably will go on for up to a trillion more years before your unchanging and perfect personality fully fuses -unites with God's will where you are then perfectly God's will in your assigned domain of action ! Soul is higher than the physical body-brain you but lower than both Personality and Spirit. You are actually a living soul having a body to use, not a body with a soul somewhere in there. All souls will ascend to the next higher Heavens for further training and evaluations -- to Be an eternal, ascending Son of God or to be not.

    4. mind - the human arena of choice-decisions-reflections as guided by all four other components listed here. Mind is as a bridge to harmonize the perceived energy-matter universe with the Actual Spirit universe.

    5. body - the physical cosmic interaction tool used briefly here. The body does not ascend, does not escape physical gravity. The body becomes stuck here as "Ashes to ashes and dust to dust." Sadly, some immature humans start out being more controlled by animal urges to insure the survival of the individual and the human race than by the four higher factors above ! This leads to selfish decisions and the slowing of proper soul growth. Usually by age 35 or so on average, a normal human here becomes somewhat led by his/her Spirit-led soul to reinforce the better decision in a mind properly controlled by personality and spirit.

So, yes, the soul is created by God and you in unison - together - conjointly. The soul does continue to perfect in many ever higher Heavens into fully Spirit-perfected Final Destiny Paradise Residence, or a few might want permanent and painless final extinction of personality identity - to forever be non-existent.

Much more could be shared, but the above brief explanation I think is best now for here. Any may email me if they want more details which are all in the public domain and may be freely shared as you wish.

Peace and progress in Spirit and in Father-Son Truth !

A human being is always living with a group of spirits which have joined one by one since childhood. Between creatures (including human beings) and God there are millions of invisible elements. There are divisions too. We are just robots in flesh created by scientist God. Each of us have memories like that of the computers'. The fed things (data= knowledge=several spirits or invisible elements) are in contact with the memories since childhood. If current (electricity) stopped the memory loses all data. This is with computer. The same thing occurs to all of us. Computers are functioning by electric power but human beings are functioning by natural power. We call this as soul. This soul is nothing but simply a power like electricity. If this is stopped our memories lose all data (all spirits or invisible elements). These spirits leave the body and go to different places. No one lives in the form of spirit or anything after death. We are simply our bodies, the toys made for spirits for their games.

The soul is neither created or destroyed, only transforming of structure takes place.

I see soul as the total of a things life, or strucure, as it has essence which gives its composure, and that essence in beings which live in experience of self, movement of self in the past and into the future.

The soul - or spirit - is both 'created' but yet it evolves too. All human beings born into this world are born with untainted souls. In other words, they are innocent of all sin {apart from the stain of Original Sin caused by Adam and Eve, in which the punishment following that, was death}.

As a person grows in the world, their souls can become stained. In other words we are all heavily influenced by what we see in the world, and by the pleasures and temptations of this world. As we fall into temptation, and give in to it, our souls in turn, become tainted.

There are many who believe that the soul was created by God, and only God can destroy the soul, at the day of Judgment. Because our souls are tainted by the sins of the world, then it means that no sin would be allowed in the presence of Heaven or God.

In order to gain the rewards of Heaven, our souls have be to washed clean, which means, asking for forgiveness of all sin and doing what is right. God, in His Mercy, if your heart is true, and you mean what you say, will forgive you and cleanse you of sin.

Souls can only evolve through the learning process on earth. And one can take it that earh itself is like some kind of 'school' or 'university' in which our souls {clothed by our physical bodies} go to learn.

The longer we live on earth the more we learn, and experience things - for the good or bad. How our souls evolve is up to us, by how we react to any given situation, and also how we treat others too. But eventually all souls will be re-united with the one who made them in the first place.

We may have to live many lifetimes to learn what we are supposed to learn while on earth, {reincarnation} but eventually we will progress, and evolve into what we where meant to be, pure spirits to live and reside as one with God.

One must remember that Man was created in God's own image, and His plan for us is so wonderful that we cannot even begin to imagine the rewards He has in store for us for those who love Him, and abide by His Word.

So, the soul is both created by God, and its purpose is to evolve as we are living upon this earth. How it evolves is up to us.
