Can iPhone ask for your passcode periodically while screen is on ?

Ok. I have an iPhone and I was wondering if I can make my iPhone ask periodically for my passcode when the screen is on and hasn't been touched in so long.

I know it can be done. My friend has a jailbroken iPod and he had his ask periodically when the screen wasn't being used.

I also have a jailbroken iPhone. Can someone tell me how it's done. I know it can be done.
