So Obama wants an empathetic judge?

and not one with judicial experience? Now that makes sense right? What do you think?

Obama wants people on the Supreme Court who will place Social Justice above the rule of law of the Constitution. He has no respect for the Constitution and wants Justices who feel the same.

I think the cons have finally got their talking points, probably from FOX news, and sadly-before they bothered to research the question

Supreme Court Justices Who Hadn’t Been Judges

People are remarking that Solicitor General Elena Kagan, who has been much talked about as a possible Supreme Court nominee, would be the first Supreme Court Justice since Chief Justice Rehnquist to be appointed without having earlier served as a judge. But it’s worth remembering that Rehnquist himself wasn’t an outlier: Of the eight Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon appointees, a majority — White, Goldberg, Fortas, Powell, and Rehnquist — hadn’t served as judges. (The ones who had served as judges were Marshall, Burger, and Blackmun)

Not all Supreme Court Justices have judicial experience. William H. Rehnquist and Lewis F. Powell Jr. didn't.

Her legal experience is in PRESENTING arguments before the Supreme Court, and as such, she still has experience with the current members of the court and Supreme Court proceedings..

Judicial experience is not a requirement.

Also, It was empathetic judges who gave me the right to vote. Regardless of states rights.

Yep, typical feel-good bleeding heart politics from the Left.

Rule of Law? naaaa...lets base our decisions on sympathy and remorse.

It wouldn't make any difference who Obama endorsed. Conservatives wouldn't like the endorsement.

  • I think "empathy" is a hopelessly subjective standard - in effect, it's no standard at all.

Although some empathy for the US taxpayer would be welcome! :)
