Just bought a house, the fridge and stove are 10 years old, should I just buy new?
Ihave the money to do it, but typically how long do these things last?
The fridge is a kitchen aid, and it looks ok, wanna see how clean I can get it first
but the stove is pretty atrocious.

make a decision in about three months when you have had a chance to settle in

You don't need to replace them, but they may not be as energy efficient as new appliances. I have a stove and refrigerator that are both over 20 years old that work fine. I actually got my stove used when it was about 5 years old and it was a nasty mess. The people I got it from had mice so I let it sit outside for about a week in the cold before I brought it in. I lifted the cook top and took out the broiler pan and used oven cleaner to clean the heck out of the thing. After it was completely cleaned and disinfected, I connected the gas and it has worked like a charm ever since.

NO you don't need to buy new, they're still working and Kitchen Aid is a GOOD brand, you've got YEARS of good use yet. There's no reason why you can't clean up the stove either, if it's still working!
