Any Casino game that needs Talent to win and not luck?

I know Counting in Black jack is 1 way to win with talent/math skills without relying on Luck but what is the point of counting when Casinos have right to ask you to leave and sometimes kick the $hit out of you (like in movie 21).

I never want to play a game like Roulette that has always 5.26% chance of winning no matter what you bet (Because its pure luck).

Thanks in advance

I count cards every time I play blackjack and I've never been kicked out. I wish a casino would beat me up for counting cards, I'd make a heck of a lot more money suing them than I'd ever make counting cards. Too bad that doesn't happen in the real world, just movie world.

Aside from blackjack, it is also possible to create a mathematical advantage at video poker, (regular) poker, and craps.

There are still many video poker machines that pay out over 100%. In other words, if you play correctly, you will win in the long run. These machines are not that hard to find (I know at least a half dozen casinos that have them off the top of my head) and all you have to do to learn how to play correctly is buy a strategy card for about 10 bucks.

Craps is beatable through dice control, a method of setting and rolling the dice in fashion that reduces the likelihood of throwing a 7, however this takes years of practice and can result in a player being disallowed from throwing the dice if they look too good at many casinos.

Obviously, poker is a skill game that a player can create an advantage at. People tend to overestimate how "easy" it is to do though. Keep in mind that the "average" player will get eaten up by the rake and lose in the long run, and a slightly above average player will only break even at the lowest limits. It's actually much, much easier to become a profitable card counter than a profitable poker player, despite what the other people on here (who are likely long term losers at poker and have never even tried to count cards in a casino) tell you.

    Good luck and have fun.

Slots. Now sure, I'm sure some people are going to blast me for saying that. But if you go to the right casino you will see some slots advertised with a 98% or 99% pay out rate. So all you have to do is play maximum credits on these machines and enjoy a house edge of just 1-2%. Unfortunately not all casinos have such generous slot areas. But the thing is the other games people talk about such as video poker, and black jack, only have a nice low edge if you play perfect strategy. Do you play perfect strategy? Because if you knew how to do that, I doubt you would be asking this question. The beauty of my slots idea is that you just have to wander around until you find a casino with a high payout slots area. Then put in your money, and press bet max until your money has run out or you hit the jackpot. Don't forget to use a slots players card, so you can be comped along the way.

Counting is a pretty dubious way to win at Blackjack. Back in the 'old days' casinos didn't really get what was going on, but these days they are very savvy when it comes to beating card counting systems. You'd have to do plenty of research to find a casino that is offering the right table rules (there are so many variations, and some of these variations neutralize even the best counters edge). But even if you did find the optimum conditions, you can expect to see 1-2% edge with huge swings. And don't be surprised if they kick you out just as you hit a nasty downward swing.

They don't beat you up, like in the movie 21. Casinos these days are all owned by massive corporations, if you got beat up you'd be able to sue them and probably settle for hundreds of thousands of dollars. So in a way, having them beat you up is probably the best way to win money from a casino!

When it comes down to it, poker is about the only game that matches your criteria. You are not playing against the house, therefore they could not care less who wins or loses. Because of that if you have the most still you will have a reasonable and fairly consistent edge over time.

The only game that takes skill that you can consistently win over time is poker. You aren't playing against the house but instead other players. Most casinos will have a ton of poker tables off in a separate location from the rest of the games. The bad thing about going to casinos to play poker is that you have to drive all the way there and the lowest game you can play is $1-$2 games. You will need at least $100 to get in. A decent player can make money in casinos playing poker because many players are just there for fun and expect to lose.

I suggest trying online poker. You can play for a small amount of money or just for fun. You can really develop your game online. Here is a site that shows the best online poker sites. They give you details on the bonuses and how easy it is to make money.

    Short Answer is NO

all casino games have fixed rules - and the rules of the games vary in some games give the player more control than others. However it is more of an illusion of control as no matter what a player does he or she is going against math and statistics that suggest you are not favored to get your desired result which is win.

Games that involve spinning balls and dice - are out because you cant devise skill to predict outcomes. Past performance does not suggest future results except in blackjack but as suggested before - casinos can spot card counters easily. Automatic shufflers and other methods are making it harder and harder for card counters to beat the casinos

So no game the casino offers is it possible to win in the long run based on skill alone, MAYBE sports betting - but not many can be successful at that.

to put sports in some perspective - MANY people have made tons of money playing poker. These people can be highly intelligent, highly educated people. They can win thousands to millions of dollars at the poker tables either in tournaments and cash games. MOST successful poker players that bet on sports LOSE!!!!

poker is easier than sports betting its not even close!

Well, poker has luck, but it's also the game where skill plays a major role.

21 was just a movie, that doesn't really happen, and you don't have only a 5.26% chance to win at roulette. That's the house edge, not your chance of winning.

    So play poker.

Poker it is...With poker you can learn many strategies and techniques that you can use to win. Though luck still plays a role on poker games, still a good poker player will always win.

Casinos are in business to make money, not to entertain you.

If they put a skills/talent game in then they may lose too much.

All games are pure luck if you win.
