Verizon also sells the MiFi, which does the same thing, but is wireless, so you connect via WiFi. An internet device would be an additional line on your account with monthly fees, etc. It is also important to remember that the internet devices use the same network as your cell phone, so if you don't have cell service where you're going, you won't have internet service either.
